Spring Into Action

Even though January is technically the start of the year, it is in the Spring when we consider it to be the real beginning for the year. It is in April when grass starts turning green, flowers begin to break through the dark soil and trees that have slept through the winter months create leaf buds, seemingly out of nothing. Let’s not forget mentioning all the baby birds and animals, that are embracing their first touch of the warm Spring sunshine.

I love Spring, and all the opportunities it has to offer. After the long, cold winter, I choose Springtime to re-evaluate my existing goals and possibly create some new goals. Finally getting around to those dusty goals that have gotten pushed to the back of the closet – you’d be amazed at the weight that is lifted away – and letting the airy feeling of Spring enter with renewed interest. What is it that you want to accomplish this year for yourself? Is it finally getting that 'eye sore of a room' cleaned out? Signing up for that course you've wanted to take for so long? Finally taking time for yourself - for real? Whatever your goal – this is the year to do it!

You know that feeling you get when you have a brilliant idea and your head starts spinning with all the possibilities – your heart beating fast, your breath quick, your growing excitement. This is the positive energy you need to harness in order to take that idea to reality. Visualize your goal/dream in action; picture it already a success; see yourself at the end reaping all the rewards. It is necessary to believe you have already accomplished your goal. When you believe it – You will achieve it!

Tips on Feeling Luscious!

Not feeling as luscious as you want or should be? The first thing you need to do is look in the mirror and say to yourself: “I love you”, and your reflection will reply “I love you too”. It really works; if it doesn’t bring a smile to your face, then try following these other tips:

1. Be Grateful: write down at least 5 things that you are grateful for each day. Start with simple things like ‘I’m grateful for breathing”.

2. Help someone else: By doing something for someone else, your heart warms and you will feel good inside.

3. Smile: at yourself and every person you pass by.

4. Take time for yourself: read a book, take a bath, meditate.

5. Laugh: watch funny movies, listen to radio comedies. Laughter really does ease stress.

6. And when all else fails: Buy a new Purse for yourself!

Thoughts on Spring and Paying it Forward

Do you find yourself day dreaming of warm & sunny days, green grass, flowers blooming and birds chirping? Spring is on its way—really!

Now is the time to clean out your closets of dark and tired clothes, shoes and purses. And get yourself ready to bloom into Spring without the clutter that seems to have a way of pulling us all down.

On that note, I would like to offer my services and relieve you of your old purses and shoes that you just don’t use/wear anymore—I will then donate them to a Women’s Shelter nearby.

When you book your Purse Party, just tell all your friends to look in their closets and bring shoes and purses (must be in decent condition) that aren’t being used anymore. Let some other woman, who may not have the money, feel luscious again with a “new to her” purse or pair of shoes. Help brighten up someone else’s day—Pay it Forward.
